Titanium Jet Engine Turbine Blade
TITANIUM
Titanium is a metal element that is lightweight, corrosion resistant, and as strong as steel (although much more expensive.) These properties make it perfect for many aircraft, ship and spacecrafts parts. It has the highest strength to density ratio of any metallic element and can be found in almost all living things, water bodies, rocks, and soils.
JET ENGINE BLADE
Generally speaking, jet engines are compressors which create thrust by squeezing air (or other fluid) entering one end and forcing it to leave the other end much faster. These engines were developed just after WWII and continue to be used today due to their reliability.
